Shop rules
Four rules painted on the shop wall
They are there for the crew as much as for you. Every visit follows them, whether it is a $39 oil change or a full brake job.
Written estimate first
You see parts, labor and the total before anyone picks up a wrench. By text, email or on paper, your choice.
A call before anything extra
Found something else? We send photos and a price, then wait for your yes. No surprise lines on the invoice.
Your old parts, in a box
Worn pads, the old filter, the cracked belt. They ride home on your passenger seat unless you tell us otherwise.
Plain English at pickup
A tech walks you through what was done, what can wait and roughly when it will need attention.
What we fix
Everyday repairs, done in two bays
We stick to the work most cars need in a year: maintenance, wear parts and the problems that switch on a dashboard light. If a job needs a specialist, such as a transmission rebuild or body work, we say so and point you to a good one.
How a visit works
From booking to keys back in your hand
Book a time
Pick a drop-off slot online or call. Tell us the year, make and model, and what you are noticing.
Wait or leave it
Short jobs: wait in the lounge with Wi-Fi and coffee. Longer jobs: leave the car and we text updates.
Approve the estimate
We inspect, then text a written estimate with photos. Approve it, ask questions or say no. Nothing starts without you.
Pick up and pay
The invoice matches the estimate. A tech explains the work and hands over your old parts.
The shop
A small garage that explains things
Arch City Garage is two bays, a waiting room with a window onto the shop, and a wall of well-used tools. Customers drop off on the way to work, walk to a coffee shop, or wait with the radio on. The same few people see your car every visit, so the notes from last spring are still in the file this fall.
We work on most cars, small SUVs and pickups you see on Columbus roads, gas or hybrid. Diagnostics use current scan tools, and every repair comes with a written warranty.

They texted me a photo of my old brake pads next to new ones, with the price underneath. Easiest yes I have ever said at a garage.

The check-engine light turned out to be a cracked vacuum hose, not the sensor I was about to buy online. Wish I had come here first.
Marcus T. · Hilliard
Dropped the car off at 7:30, walked to work and had the estimate by text before my first meeting. Picked it up on the way home.
